Mission & Vision

Mission

Creating a Healthier, Safer Society through CPR

Our mission is to raise public awareness about the dangers of sudden cardiac arrest and the importance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), while promoting (and providing) CPR education to help create a healthier, safer society free from the threat of death from cardiac arrest.

The phrase “through CPR” in our mission statement reflects the idea that CPR is not just a technique, but a means to achieve our greater purpose—to spread awareness, provide education, and increase the practice of CPR throughout our communities. The phrase “creating a healthier society,” represents our vision of a future where increased awareness and widespread CPR education has led to a reduction in the incidence of cardiac or respiratory arrest and where, when it does occur, people have a strong chain of survival in place that offers them the best chance for recovery. Our goal is to build a society where individuals are safer from cardiac or respiratory arrest and where complete recovery after such events becomes possible for everyone.

Vision

  • Delivering CPR Education Nationwide
  • Developing Innovative CPR Training Programs
  • EstLeading Research for Evidence-Based CPR Guidelines
  • Engaging in CPR Advocacy and Public Initiatives

Our institution is committed to advancing high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) through education, research, and community outreach. We offer evidence-based programs to ensure that our trainees can perform effective, life-saving CPR.
In addition to training healthcare providers, we also develop future instructors, and we have established ourselves as a key resource for CPR education nationwide.

As a research-focused organization, we continually develop and enhance CPR training methods and programs while pioneering efforts to improve the quality and effectiveness of resuscitation education in Korea.
We are committed to academic excellence and conduct ongoing research on cardiac arrest and resuscitation. These efforts contribute to the development and revision of national CPR guidelines based on the latest scientific evidence.

We also serve as advocates for public awareness and policy improvement.
Through campaigns, publications, community initiatives, and advocacy efforts, we strive to raise awareness about cardiac arrest and the importance of CPR, while actively participating in initiatives to advance national healthcare policies.

Together, we aim to build a safer, healthier society where everyone is empowered to save lives.
